Meet Bebe: Your Sweet and Gentle Furry Friend

Age: 2 years old
Weight: 17.4 lbs

Breed:
Chihuahua mix

Personality and Ideal Environment:

Bebe is a lovely little girl who thrives in a calm and low-key environment. She’s not much of a barker at all, making her a great companion for someone who enjoys a peaceful home.

Training and Commands: Bebe is doing really well with her crate training. She sleeps soundly through the night in her crate for about eight hours and is comfortable being crated when you’re out during the day. Her potty training is pretty solid as well—she mostly does her business outside, and she even uses a pee pad if needed.

Walks are easy with her; she doesn’t pull much and is pretty content with a couple of short walks a day.

She’s a bit of an anxious pup and can be cautious about being handled, so she needs someone who’ll be patient and gentle. Once she warms up, though, she truly loves affection and will become very cuddly and loyal.

Bebe tends to follow you around the house once she trusts you.

Ideal Home: Bebe would do best in a home that’s relatively calm and patient, ideally with someone who can give her a bit of time to settle in and build trust.

She’s likely good with other dogs or cats given a slow introduction, and she’s definitely looking for a human or family who’ll appreciate a sweet, low- to medium-energy dog who just wants to be loved.

If you’d like to meet sweet Bebe, please fill out the adoption application on our website!

Meet Sammy!

Age: 6 years
Breed: Chihuahua mix
Weight: 18 lbs

Sammy is a sweet little guy who just needs someone willing to give him a chance. He is very cuddly with his foster mom and, once he feels safe, his playful and loving personality shines. He loves playing with his toys and can be a very fun, silly companion.

Sammy is still learning that the world is a safe place. He has nervous anxiety around adult men, which can come out as growling at first — but he has shown that with patience, he can open up. He has slowly learned to trust his foster brother and now even goes in for pets, which is a huge milestone for him.

Fast-moving things like cars, bikes, and joggers can make walks overwhelming, but his foster mom works with him daily to build his confidence. Quick movements in the home can also startle him, so an adult-only, calm household is recommended to help him feel most secure.

One wonderful thing about Sammy? He has absolutely no separation anxiety. He can be left home alone and does just fine — calm, independent, and content.

He also gets along great with other dogs, including his foster cousin Linus, and could enjoy having a furry friend around.

Sammy will thrive with someone who sees his potential and is ready to continue the gentle, steady support he’s been getting. If you’re patient and looking for a playful, cuddly, and sweet companion to grow with, Sammy might just be the one.

Please fill out our adoption application on our website if you’d like to meet sweet Sammy.

She is eager to learn and has a handful of obedience commands such as sit, place and down. Molly loves her walks and would make a great hiking and walking companion for someone. Molly would do best in a home where she is the centre of attention, no dogs or cats for her.

She will thrive in a home that can continue her current training program and offer her both steady guidance and lots of love.   If you’d like to meet Molly, please visit our website and fill out an application.

Meet our adorable resident husky puppy. Ti-Ti is an energetic, quirky and very sweet young husky. She had a bit of a rough start to life but that’s not stopping her from enjoying every trail the lower mainland has to offer, she loves the outdoors.

Ti-ti is calm in the house, generally wanting to hang out in her crate or on her place bed. She can be semi playful with the other pups in the house, but also happy to be on her own. As huskys go, she’s kinda sorta affectionate, but if you know huskys, mostly just happy to simply be in your presence.

Ti-Ti is fully potty trained - although we believe elevators would be a struggle for her so no high rise buildings. She has no allergies that we know of and has a clean bill of health. She does fine in car rides, and has no separation anxiety or resource guarding behaviours.

Ti-Ti needs someone who will provide her with the life she deserves, one full of adventures in quiet forests & out in nature (that’s where she thrives) we will only consider applicants for Ti-Ti who are willing to continue the specific training we have invested for her this far.

Trainer notes: with close to 20 fosters through my home this year, environmental stress aside, Ti-Ti has been my favourite thus far. She is so soft natured, funny and beyond sweet.

Ti-Ti cannot live in densely populated downtown areas, she would do much better in a quiet neighbourhood.

If you are interested in applying for our beautiful Ti-Ti please fill out an application on our website.

Age: 1 year old
Weight: 15 lbs

Skippy is impossible not to notice, with one ear that proudly sticks straight up while the other flops down, giving him the most endearing, curious expression. Add in his soft brown markings—almost like little freckles sprinkled across his coat—and you’ve got a truly one-of-a-kind pup.

Skippy’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He was found wandering alone for over a week in a dangerous industrial area, frightened and unsure of the world around him. Because of this, Skippy is still learning to fully trust humans and may react when he feels nervous or uncertain, both on walks and when a new person comes into the home.

With patience, consistency, structure, and proper equipment, Skippy has already made wonderful progress. Each day he grows more confident, and his sweet, playful puppy personality continues to shine through. He loves playing with toys and especially enjoys running in sandy and gravel fields. Skippy is a smart boy who sleeps soundly in his crate all night and has been left alone for up to eight hours with no accidents in the house. He may bark briefly when you first leave, but he does settle.

Skippy has not yet been introduced to other animals due to his initial fear of people, so his behavior with other pets is currently unknown.

Skippy is looking for a calm, patient, and understanding home that will allow him to continue building confidence at his own pace. In return, he’ll reward you with loyalty, love, and the joy of watching a dog truly blossom into who he’s meant to be.

If you’d like to meet sweet Skippy, please fill out the adoption application on our website.

Dogs : could be with a well matched dog or solo dog

Cats: unsure open to testing

Kids: mature children 12 and up (he can be a bit bouncy)

He is always ready for an adventure or a snuggle.  His obedience is coming along well, and he continues to learn to walk on a loose leash.

Rainey is crate trained and dashes into his crate when he thinks that it is dinner time. He is adorable, eager to please and likes toys and pets.

Rainey is quick to warm up and we suspect he’ll be a fiercely loyal and loving companion for many years to come.

Rainy has no allergies to report and a clean bill of health. He loves to walk the trails. We suspect he would be fine in a detached home or apartment building.

Rainy’s ideal home would be one that will continue with the structure, training and exercise that he is doing so well with. He is currently doing very well with the fosters resident dog and loves playing with her.

He would do better in a home without small children as he can be quite a bouncy boy and is still learning his manners.

If you’d like to meet our handsome boy Rainy, please fill out the adoption application on our website.

Meet Sidney!

Sidney is an 1-year-old Greyhound mix weighing in at 38 lbs.

She’s a sweet girl who loves people — it may take her a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her playful, loving personality shines through.

Sidney does good with other dogs and appreciates a proper introduction to new friends. She is quickly picking up on her commands and doggy manners. She’s a good sleeper in her crate and settles in quietly when left alone.

Potty training is still a work in progress, but she’s learning fast! With a consistent routine, she’ll be fully reliable in no time.

Playtime is Sidney’s favorite — she loves tossing her toys around and being silly. When she’s all tuckered out, she’s the ultimate snuggle buddy, happiest curled up right next to (or on top of!) her humans.

She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but we think she’d do well with kids — as long as they don’t mind a few enthusiastic kisses while she learns her manners.

Sidney is also working on her leash skills and is becoming more confident with every walk. After everything she’s been through, all Sidney needs is a little structure, training, and lots of love to blossom into the most loyal and loving companion.

Sidney can't wait to meet you! Please fill out the adoption application on our website if you'd like to meet the sweet girl!

Meet Francis!

This 3-year-old southern belle from New Orleans has all the charm you could ask for in a cat.

Francis is the perfect mix of playful and sweet—she’ll keep you entertained with her love of boxes, chattering at birds, and “helping” you make the bed (because darting under the sheets is just too much fun!).

She enjoys affection and will happily soak up pets—on her terms, of course, like any true cat. She’s also been used to wearing claw caps since she was a kitten, which has kept both furniture and sanity intact.

One of Francis’s most endearing traits? She adores dogs! She’s not the least bit shy around them and would happily cuddle or play with a canine friend. Other cats, however, aren’t really her thing—she prefers to be the only feline in the home.

Francis loves basking in the sunshine but isn’t a wanderer, so a safe patio or supervised yard time is plenty for her.

She’s also wonderfully well-mannered: she doesn’t knock things off counters, is crate trained, makes nail trims easy—and oh, she’ll even leave your Christmas tree alone!

And like any clever cat, Francis knows a few tricks: she’ll happily sit, spin, and even sit pretty. But shaking paws? That’s beneath a lady of her stature, of course.  Once Francis bonds with you, she’s an absolute doll—loyal, affectionate, and full of charm.

She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and a little New Orleans flair into her forever home.
