NILES - ADOPTABLE

It’s unknown what Nile’s life was like before he was found on the street with a tumour above his eye, but it seems like it was a hard life for his sweet boy.

 After surgery, he came to Canada to start the life he deserves. It’s hard to imagine how overwhelming this would be for such a sweet senior soul, and Niles took his time to slowly warm up.

After a few weeks, he fell into an easy routine in his foster home. He sleeps solid for 10 hours every night, wakes up slowly, takes a bathroom break outside, has breakfast, and falls back asleep for most of the day. He loves sleep. He will sleep in a crate, in a car, on the couch - whenever you are, he’ll sleep.

We suspect Niles is deaf as he is unresponsive to most sounds. However, he’s very smart and food motivated, and could still be trained. He is around 7-8 years old and 14 pounds.

Niles also doesn’t really bark, doesn’t shed at all, and does not require much exercise. He can walk well on a leash (no pulling or reactivity) but he isn’t a super active dog.

He is dog-neutral and would be fine in a home with other dogs. The cat in his foster home seems to scare him a bit, but he’s warming up.

While he’s fine with kids, they tend to be unpredictable, which is hard for Nile’s as he cannot hear them. He’d be okay with older kids or just an adult home.

There is something indescribably gentle about Niles despite everything he’s been through. He is the definition of a true rescue; he is resilient, loving, and so deserving of a kind home. If you give him a place to rest his head, he’ll give you his full heart in return.

Meet 2 year old Andrea, an adorable 13lbs Pug/Chihuahua mix who’s ready to fill your heart (and lap!) with love. 

This shy but affectionate girl might need a bit of time to feel comfortable around new people and unfamiliar places, but once she knows she’s safe, she’ll be your loyal shadow and cuddle buddy for life! 

Andrea enjoys going for walks — and her absolute favorite playtime activity is a good old game of tug-o-war. When she’s ready to play, she’ll proudly bring you her toy, tail wagging and eyes sparkling!

She gets along well with other dogs and would likely thrive with a canine companion, as being around other dogs has already helped boost her confidence. While she hasn’t been formally cat-tested, she’s had calm, nonreactive encounters with cats. She’s also good with kids, though slow, gentle introductions are best. She’s still working on her potty training, but with consistency and patience, she’s making steady progress.

Andrea is a total sweetheart who just wants someone to love her as much as she’ll love them — she’s happiest when she’s curled up in your lap, soaking up all the love!

Rainey is a 53lbs, (medium) 9 month old sweet bundle of young dog - enthusiasm - and love. 

Dogs : could be with a well matched dog or solo dog 

Cats: unsure open to testing 

Kids: mature children 12 and up (he can be a bit bouncy) 

He is always ready for an adventure or a snuggle.  His obedience is coming along well, and he continues to learn to walk on a loose leash. 

Rainey is crate trained and dashes into his crate when he thinks that it is dinner time. He is adorable, eager to please and likes toys and pets. 

Rainey is quick to warm up and we suspect he’ll be a fiercely loyal and loving companion for many years to come. 

Rainy has no allergies to report and a clean bill of health. He loves to walk the trails. We suspect he would be fine in a detached home or apartment building.

Rainy’s ideal home would be one that will continue with the structure, training and exercise that he is doing so well with. He is currently doing very well with the fosters resident dog and loves playing with her.

He would do better in a home without small children as he can be quite a bouncy boy and is still learning his manners.

Chantilly is a 4-year-old, 32 lbs terrier mix with a gentle heart and soulful eyes that tell the story of a mama who has done an amazing job raising her puppies. 

She was found abandoned in a heavily forested area in California, rescued and transported to Canada to have her puppies in the safety & security of a loving foster home. She gave birth to 9 puppies and was a rockstar with them. Now that her little ones have found their homes, it’s finally Chantilly’s turn to be the one who’s pampered and loved forever. 

This lovely girl has an affectionate nature and enjoys being close to her people. She’s past the puppy chaos and has a mature, easygoing energy with a sprinkle of excitement, always happy to curl up beside you, go for unhurried walks, and soak in all the affection she’s been waiting for. 

Chantilly gets along well with other polite/ respectful dogs. She has done great co existing with her foster’s resident dogs and recently started to initiate play however she would be just as happy being the only dog soaking up all the attention. 

She is just now learning to play with toys  and showing off her happiness & confidence with zoomies in the yard, her recall is amazing!

She’s housetrained, crate trained, great in the car and thrives off routine. Does great on leash and enjoys the outdoors. Young children’s energy is a bit overwhelming for her so we recommend an adult only or home with older children.  

Chantilly does well with dog savvy cats. She is ready to settle into a home where she can feel safe, adored, and part of the family.

Meet Sidney!   

Sidney is an 1-year-old Greyhound mix weighing in at 38 lbs. 

She’s a sweet girl who loves people — it may take her a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her playful, loving personality shines through. 

Sidney does good with other dogs and appreciates a proper introduction to new friends. She is quickly picking up on her commands and doggy manners. She’s a good sleeper in her crate and settles in quietly when left alone.  

Potty training is still a work in progress, but she’s learning fast! With a consistent routine, she’ll be fully reliable in no time.  

Playtime is Sidney’s favorite — she loves tossing her toys around and being silly. When she’s all tuckered out, she’s the ultimate snuggle buddy, happiest curled up right next to (or on top of!) her humans.  

She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but we think she’d do well with kids — as long as they don’t mind a few enthusiastic kisses while she learns her manners. 

Sidney is also working on her leash skills and is becoming more confident with every walk. After everything she’s been through, all Sidney needs is a little structure, training, and lots of love to blossom into the most loyal and loving companion.

Meet Kayio!

Age: Male 

Breed: Mini poodle cross  

Weight: Approx 13lbs

Meet Kayio (Kai-yo) after a hard start to life on the streets and no training in his formative years, he’s excited to share a new start, and his new found skills with the perfect person. 

Kayio has been working diligently through his training program. As a low to medium energy dog, With proper equipment he walks very on leash and quite enjoys a quiet trail stroll. 

He continues to make daily progress passing by other dogs out in the world without reacting. He has been fully potty trained and crate trained.    

Kayio would do well with someone who works from home or at home part time. He can manage longer stretches alone, but really prefers to be in the company of his people. 

Kayio is so cute and loves his belly scratched and gentle pets, which is probably his best quality, but more than anything Kayio needs someone dedicated to upkeeping all of the hard work he has learned this far. 

We need someone who is willing to continue to offer him the structure he needs to thrive, such as continued crate training, calm structure inside the house, and leadership as an owner. Kayio is cute, but he is a small dog who deserves the same dedication to obedience training that a larger dog would get.   

Please be aware, all Poodle crosses do require regular grooming. Kayio also has some mild food allergies to chicken and beef. He otherwise has a clean bill of health. Kayio comes with two free and required training sessions with the rescue so we can pass along all of the great things he’s learned so far.

Meet Bebe: Your Sweet and Gentle Companion!

Personality and Ideal Environment: Bebe is a lovely little girl who thrives in a calm and low-key environment. She’s not much of a barker at all, making her a great companion for someone who enjoys a peaceful home. 

Training and Commands: Bebe is doing really well with her crate training. She sleeps soundly through the night in her crate for about eight hours and is comfortable being crated when you’re out during the day. Her potty training is pretty solid as well—she mostly does her business outside, and she even uses a pee pad if needed. 

Walks are easy with her; she doesn’t pull much and is pretty content with a couple of short walks a day.  

She’s a bit of an anxious pup and can be cautious about being handled, so she needs someone who’ll be patient and gentle. Once she warms up, though, she truly loves affection and will become very cuddly and loyal. 

Bebe tends to follow you around the house once she trusts you. 

 Ideal Home: Bebe would do best in a home that’s relatively calm and patient, ideally with someone who can give her a bit of time to settle in and build trust. 

She’s likely good with other dogs or cats given a slow introduction, and she’s definitely looking for a human or family who’ll appreciate a sweet, low- to medium-energy dog who just wants to be loved.

Meet beautiful Silver!

Meet Francis! 

This 3-year-old southern belle from New Orleans has all the charm you could ask for in a cat. 

Francis is the perfect mix of playful and sweet—she’ll keep you entertained with her love of boxes, chattering at birds, and “helping” you make the bed (because darting under the sheets is just too much fun!).  

She enjoys affection and will happily soak up pets—on her terms, of course, like any true cat. She’s also been used to wearing claw caps since she was a kitten, which has kept both furniture and sanity intact.  

One of Francis’s most endearing traits? She adores dogs! She’s not the least bit shy around them and would happily cuddle or play with a canine friend. Other cats, however, aren’t really her thing—she prefers to be the only feline in the home.  

Francis loves basking in the sunshine but isn’t a wanderer, so a safe patio or supervised yard time is plenty for her. 

She’s also wonderfully well-mannered: she doesn’t knock things off counters, is crate trained, makes nail trims easy—and oh, she’ll even leave your Christmas tree alone!  

And like any clever cat, Francis knows a few tricks: she’ll happily sit, spin, and even sit pretty. But shaking paws? That’s beneath a lady of her stature, of course.  Once Francis bonds with you, she’s an absolute doll—loyal, affectionate, and full of charm.

Meet Zoey – The Squeaky Toy Queen!

At 9 years young and about 20 lbs (with a little extra love to spare), Zoey is a happy, playful, and affectionate girlwho’s ready to charm her way into your heart—and your home!

Don’t let her age fool you—Zoey still has plenty of pep in her step! She loves playing fetch with her beloved squeaky toys and enjoys going for walks (she’s working on her leash manners, but she’s eager to please). After a good play session or stroll, she’s all about the nap life—preferably belly-up with her paws in the air on her cozy dog bed. It’s her signature sleeping pose!

Zoey is house trained, sleeps through the night, and is trustworthy when left alone at home—a rare combo of independence and cuddly affection. She’ll happily greet you at the door with a wagging tail and a big smile, then roll over for a well-earned belly rub.

She’s never met a squeaky toy she didn’t like, and she’s always down for attention. Her favorite things? You, belly rubs, fetch, and naps—ideally in that order.

Zoey would thrive in a home that enjoys a bit of playtime and a lot of love. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but she does well being left alone and is easy to have around.

Originally found as a stray in California, Molly spent weeks in the shelter waiting for someone to choose her. When she landed on the euthanasia list, we stepped in just in time. She is now safe, thriving, and ready for the forever family she’s always deserved.

Molly is a clever girl who already knows a few commands and is learning to walk beautifully on leash. She can be dog reactive at times, so she’s best suited as the only dog in the home. 

She also needs a cat-free household and no children under 12, simply because she’s a big, enthusiastic sweetheart who doesn’t always know her size.

With strong leadership and consistent structure, Molly absolutely blossoms - she’s eager to learn, eager to please, and so ready to bond deeply with her people.

Rescued from San Bernardino, California, Remy is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix who’s ready to find his forever family! This little guy weighs just 11 lbs, is fixed, microchipped, and full of love.

Remy is the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet snuggles. He loves walks, playtime, car rides, and being part of the action — but when it’s time to relax, he’s happiest curled up on your lap giving kisses. 

He’s great with kids and adults, and can live happily with or without other dogs (but no cats, please). Remy is house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained, and even knows a few commands like sit and stay.
